POP ART EXHIBITION

Andy Warhol – Superstar!

Pop Art Exhibition

In Casa dei Carraresi, Treviso (IT), the exhibition centre of the Cassamarca Foundation, from November 11, 2017 until May 1, 2018 there was more than 40 works by Andy Warhol, coming from private collections.

The exhibition explored a series of artworks of the genius of the POP Art  and it was focused on the concept and phenomenon of the Superstars, with particular reference to the portraits that some of Andy Warhol’s friends commissioned to the artist, or that Warhol himself deeply wanted to create for some exceptional people.

Lino Franco was invited as Special Guest Artist with his video art installation “MEANING NOTHING – Journey Into The Pop(ular) Vision Of An Everyday Superstar”, created and realized for that occasion!

The organizators of the exhibition asked Maurizio Agosti, aka Principe Maurice, to interview Lino Franco about his life, his work and his art, with the aim to realize a video which has been streamed in a room of the exhibition throughout the whole event period.

The interview was realized at the FG&P Studios (the only one live production studios in Italy, in which at that time works was still in progress) by FG&P entARTainment, the production company of which Lino is founding partner & CEO.
